She grew up in Pakistan where the Taliban ruled. The Taliban had many strict rules, one of them bieng that girls couldn't go to school. Disobeying these rules would most likley mean death. Still, Malala made the brave choice to continue her education further, risking her life in the process.
One day, one her way back from school, Talian infiltrated the bus that she was on, and shot her several times. There were no doctors in Pakistan that could heal her critical wounds. Eventually, she was transported to 'Queen Elizabeth Hospital' to treat her wounds.
After a miraculous recovery from the traumatizing event, She decided to become an activist for girls' rights.
Ruby decided to take a risky decision and became the first black person to ever attend the 'William Frantz Elementary School'. It was really hard for her there. None of the teachers wanted to teach her exept for Mrs. Barbara Henry.
Mrs. Baraba taught Ruby alone for almost two years as none of the white parents wanted their children to be in the same classroom as her.
Ruby became a black eduation rights activist.
