Agodi Gardens

Agodi Gardens is a tourist attraction in the city of Ibadan. It was formely called Agodi Zooligical and Botanical Gardens, it was established in 1967.

The site is usually patronized during festive periods and weekends, there are swimming pools and any of the diverse tropical trees for picnics.

It was destroyed by the Ogunpa flood disaster in 1980 and most of the animals were washed away by the flood.The Oyo State Government renovated the garden in 2012 and it was reopened in 2014.

In september2017, a zookeeper at the Agodi zoo was attacked by one of the lions,he later died from the injuries sustained. (It was rumoured that the zoo keeper had not fed the lions for days and he wanted to take a selfie and as he entered the lion's den,the lion attacked him). The Oyo State Government then closed the zoo immediately.
