Technology to Battle Climate Change

Technology is the way of the future and some things could help make an impact on climate change itself.

Carbon Capture

The first one is the carbon capture. This innovation would capture carbon dioxide and transport the emissions underneath the sea. Due to the deep sea, the carbon would not be emmitted. This will help carbon-intensive industries in the North East to zero as early as 2030.

Feeding Cattle Seaweed

.Another piece of tech (arguably) is feeding cattle seaweed. Cows produce methane, which is one of the leading greenhouse gases, through burping. Scientists have found that red seaweed can reduce methane emissions by cows by 80%, which would further help to keep the environment carbon neutral.

Greening

Another way humans have invented to combat climate change is greening. This is fertilizing the ocean so more algae and plant matter can grow, in turn, allowing more carbon dioxide to be absorbed.

Consumption Trackers

The single most effective technological solution to climate change is reducing energt consumption. This can be done through making homes more energy efficient. Consumers have energy consumption trackers, which can help inform them how much energy is being used, as well as how much will be used if something energy consuming is done, such as wasing clothes with a washing machine. This can help them save more, and reduce carbon emissions from houses.
I think that technology can really help us in the future as with science there are a lot of possibilities. They can help us figure out what needs to be done with climate change, as well as help solve it in the future.
